The objective of this class is to take a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach to understanding psychology, body and image, in order to answer the fundamental question of what human beings are.
How do we perceive 'self'? We understand 'self' through a variety of bodily sensations, relationships with others, and past experiences. Some are conscious, others unconscious. In this class, the self and its understanding will be discussed from the perspective of clinical psychology. After that, we try to understand the mechanism and function of our mind by unravelling the activities and techniques of movies and videos .

「人間とは何か」という根本的な問いに迫るため、心理・身体・映像に関する諸学について，学術的・実践的知見を融合し総合的かつ多面的に理解する。

私たちは「自己」 をどのように捉えるのか。さまざまな身体の感覚や他者との関係，過去の体験などを通して私たちは「自己」 を理解している。それは意識に上っているものもあれば，自分が気づいていない無意識において存在しているものもある。本講義では，自己とその理解について，まず臨床心理学の観点から講義をおこなう。それをうけて，映画や映像の活動や技術を紐解きながら，私たちの心の仕組みや働きについて理解することをおこなってみたい。
