【Course Objectives】

Learn the concepts and philosophy of disability welfare as required for practicing welfare for people with disabilities in the modern society. Understand types of disabilities and the current status of people with disabilities, outline of systems and policies, and their issues.

【Course Contents】

Understand the outline of laws, systems, measures and services related to people with disabilities in relation to the history and concept of disability and disability welfare in modern society, as well as the current status of people with disabilities and the measures being taken to help them. This course aims to develop an awareness of people’s disabilities and of what concrete steps can be taken to support them.
