To understand the significance of examining social welfare in principle by placing it in the context of contemporary society.
To understand the life problems that appear in modern society and the factors behind them.
To understand the trends and issues of social welfare policies and related policies for solving life problems.
In this class, we will first understand the significance of examining social welfare in principle.
Next, we will gain an understanding of the perspectives from which life problems in modern society are viewed, and the background factors that explain why such life problems are occurring. We will then examine the necessity of solving these problems socially.
Then, we will focus on policy responses to life problems and examine ways to distribute social resources efficiently and fairly.

① 社会福祉を現代社会との関係性の中で捉え，社会福祉のありようを原理的に問うことの意義を理解する。
② 現代社会の変容を踏まえた上で，そこで表出している生活問題やその背景的要因を理解する。
③ ②の生活問題を踏まえ，それを解決・緩和するための社会福祉政策や関連政策の動向と課題を理解する。

この授業では，まず，改めて社会福祉のありようを原理的に問うことの意義を理解する。次に，現代社会で諸個人が経験している生活問題を捉える視点や，なぜそうした生活問題が発生しているのかという背景要因を理解し，その問題に社会的に対応することの必要性を検討する。そして，社会福祉が対象とする生活問題への政策的対応，すなわち福祉政策および関連施策に着目し，社会資源を効率的かつ公平に分配する方策のあり方を検討する。
In this class, we will first understand the significance of examining social welfare in principle.
Next, we will gain an understanding of the perspectives from which life problems in modern society are viewed, and the background factors that explain why such life problems are occurring. We will then examine the necessity of solving these problems socially.
