【Course Objectives】

Understand the significance of Fieldwork in Psychiatric Social Work, which is necessary to obtain eligibility to take the national examination for mental health workers. To this end, students will understand the roles required of mental health workers, develop a professional attitude based on values and ethics, and acquire the basic skills to perform social work functions for people with mental illness, mental disorders, and mental health issues.

【Course Contents】

In addition to learning about the significance of Fieldwork in Psychiatric Social Work, students will conduct preliminary study in preparation for the next year's Fieldwork in Psychiatric Social Work. Specifically, through individual and group guidance, students will learn (1) about the significance of practical training and practical guidance, (2) about the situation and difficulties faced by practical training facilities and users, (3) about the local community and other professions, and (4) about the acquisition and self-awareness of values, ethics, knowledge, and skills necessary for practical training.
