【Course Objectives】

Students acquire the perspectives and values of social work, knowledge, and skills necessary for practice based on the expertise of mental health workers in a practical manner, and acquire the basic abilities to engage in practical training.

【Course Contents】

This course is designated as a subject for the national examination for mental health social workers, and is a required course for students who wish to obtain the national certification as a mental health social worker or take the "Mental Health Social Worker Practicum. In this course, students learn about the perspectives, attitudes, and knowledge required of social workers who work with people with mental illness, mental disorders, and mental health issues, as well as how to interact with clients, families, related organizations, and the community. Students will take up various cases and discuss the development process of social work and the thoughts, judgments, and actions of mental health workers. Role-plays will be conducted to simulate assistance situations, and students will be guided to understand their own strengths and challenges through practical skills instruction.
