【Course Objectives】

With the aim of gaining practical skills and knowledge relating to mental health, welfare and counseling support for people with disabilities, through practical training students will:
(1) Understand the current situation of mentally disabled people, grasping their life situation and life issues through Fieldwork in Mental Health Social Work.
(2) Acquiring integrated support skills such as the temperament, skills, and ethics required by mental health social workers, grasping the issues necessary by oneself.
(3) Acquire practical understanding of integrated and inclusive community living support, and ideal models of cooperation between professionals in related fields, with specific examples.

【Course Contents】

To perform practical training for more than 210 hours at 2 placements in the field of mental health and welfare (1. Medical institution, 2. Community organizations other than medical institutions, administrative agencies etc.). During the practical training period, tutors will visit the training placement, giving individual guidance to students, and having set the return date, provide individual and group tutorials at the university. This class is required designated subject for the national mental health social worker examination.
