【Course Objectives】

1.Integrate the knowledge and skills of each subject necessary for social work practice and develop practical skills to provide support based on values and ethics as a social worker.
2. To understand the situation of people and communities in need of support, and to grasp the issues (needs) in their daily lives.
3. To develop, implement, and evaluate support plans that utilize formal and informal social resources for people in need of support to address their daily living issues (needs).
4. To gain a practical understanding of the role that facilities and institutions play in the community.
5. To understand practically how to cooperate with multiple professions, organizations, and citizens in providing comprehensive and inclusive support, and the specific details of such cooperation.

【Course Contents】

1. A total of 240 hours on field training will be provided at two or more facilities of different types.
2. During the field training, trainees learn the following topics under the guidance of a field supervisor.
①Basic communication and the formation of smooth relationships with users, family members, facilities, citizens, volunteers, etc.
②Forming supportive relationships with users and their families, etc.
③Understanding the situation of users and the community, understanding their daily life issues (needs), and creating, implementing, and evaluating support plans
④Advocacy for users and their families, etc.
⑤Understanding of multidisciplinary cooperation and team approach in support
⑥Understanding of the role that the training site plays in the local community and specific outreach to the community
⑦Understanding of the formation of cross-disciplinary and cross-industry relationships in the community and the utilization, coordination, and development of social resources
⑧Practical management of facilities, businesses, institutions, organizations, etc. (Including understanding of team management and human resource management)
⑨Professional ethics as a social worker, roles and responsibilities as a member of an organization, and understanding of regulations related to employment
⑩Understanding of skills required for social work practice (outreach, networking, coordination, negotiation, facilitation, presentation, and social action)
3. The social work practicum instructor will communicate and coordinate with the practicum student and field supervisor through round visits, etc., to understand the practicum student's practice situation and provide sufficient individualized guidance.
