【Course Objectives】

In modern society, poverty and social exclusion are widespread, and civic participation that underpins democracy is declining. Under these circumstances, there is a need to rebuild communities based on people's trust and solidarity, and to revive autonomy and democracy based on communities. In community development theory, based on the awareness of the above issues, students will learn about various ways of community development through the specific practices of civil society organizations such as NPOs.

【Course Contents】

Community development means the process of creating communities and solving various social problems by citizens' participation and cooperation. Community development includes various dimensions.
