【Course Objectives】

You will learn that local governments have an important role to play in labor policies to make people happy.

【Course Contents】

It is said that Japan society as a whole is becoming poorer, and "poverty" is accumulating at one pole, and disparities are widening. In order to eliminate this disparity, it is primarily necessary to expand the allocation policy by the national government, but local governments can also develop various disparity elimination policies through in-kind benefits such as employment and labor policies and welfare policies, through bidding reforms as the region's largest economic entity, or as employers employing non-regular public servants. In this class, we will take up employment and labor policies that local governments can take to eliminate disparities and poverty as the central theme. In that case, we will not only point out that there are issues, but also take up practical examples for solving problems in Japan and around the world.
