【Course Objectives】

Understanding the characteristics and actual processes of various methods of qualitative research, and to acquire the ability to plan and conduct independent research.
- To acquire the necessary attitude and poise necessary to conduct qualitative surveys, and to be able to build relationships of trust in the location when conducting future fieldwork.
[Social Researcher]
This course is Methods of Social Research F. It is preferred, but not a requirement to have completed Subject A, “Methods of Social Research”. Students who have selected a qualitative research class in Subject G, “Practice in Social Research" must take this course.

【Course Contents】

This class provides general knowledge about qualitative research to students who have already learned the basics of social research. In this lecture, we will explain the fundamentals of qualitative research, history, points of caution and ethics, as well as present various methods and their practical examples, focusing on observation, document analysis, and interviews. Through lectures, the aim is for students to acquire the ability to utilize qualitative research in future investigations and practice.
