To understand the concepts in economics for analyzing regional economic conditions. In addition, to consider what kind of policies will be required in the future to eliminate regional disparities and develop regional economies based on examples of regional economic growth policies.
In this class, we will consider what kind of policies are needed to develop the local economy. First, I will explain basic knowledge about the economy and the meaning of economic indicators such as economic growth rate, unemployment rate, and labor productivity. Then, I will explain the theories of regional economic development and decline, and regional policies that make use of these theories. Based on this understanding, students will learn how to analyze the economic situation and regional disparities in each region using data through the preparation of report assignments.

地域の経済状況を分析するための経済学上の概念を理解すること。さらに地域経済成長政策の事例から、地域格差の解消や地域の経済発展に今後どのような政策が求められるかを考えること。

この授業では、地域経済を発展させるための政策とはどのようなものか考えていく。まず、経済に関する基礎知識と経済成長率、失業率、労働生産性など経済指標の意味を解説する。そのうえで、地域経済の発展と衰退に関する理論と、それを活かした地域政策について解説する。これらを理解したうえで、各地域の経済状況と地域格差をデータで分析する方法を、レポート課題の作成を通して学んでいく。
In this class, we will consider what kind of policies are needed to develop the local economy.
