【Course Objectives】

This course introduces the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the aims of the SDG initiative, SDG policy and its effects on developing global welfare and well-being. Students will choose one specific SDG and focus on the policy that drives change behind that goal, and the effects SDG policy is having on improving global society and welfare. Students will then write a report and present their findings.

【Course Contents】

Students will develop their ability to conduct research, write a report, and present information in relation to the SDGs and social welfare policy in English.

Students will develop their English skills and be able to:

• research and discuss the history and policy at the heart of the SDGs.
• develop their research and report writing skills.
• present information in relation to the SDGs and social welfare
• develop their autonomy, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
