【Course Objectives】

The goal of this class is to understand the representative theories and approaches to poverty, and to acquire a multifaceted perspective in order to understand the reality of poverty in modern society.

【Course Contents】

After introducing various theories and approaches to poverty, we will consider what the poverty problem is, why poverty occurs, and how poverty should be dealt with. Based on that, we will consider what kind of poverty measures should be taken, focusing on public assistance and self-reliance support systems for the needy.
