【Course Objectives】

The goals of this course are to
(1) Understand basic concepts in welfare sociology.
(2) Raise own awareness of the current and future status of welfare society, applying examples of various welfare issues.

【Course Contents】

In the modern society, where globalization, neoliberalism, declining birthrate and aging population, and personalization are advancing, various welfare issues have emerged, and it is becoming increasingly important to understand the relationship between welfare and society.
In the first half, this course introduces the concepts necessary to understand the welfare society through the theory of sociology. Then, in the second half, this course deals with and explains some important cases for understanding the significance and issues of welfare in modern society. Through these, this course aims to cultivate the abilities necessary to see the future welfare society.
