Understanding the basic Multivariate Analysis methods used in quantitative and qualitative research in the field of social sciences, to be able to carry out a series of processes to actually analyze data using statistical software to compile the analysis results.
This class consists of two parts - the lecture and seminars using statistical software SPSS. In the lecture, we will explain the statistical concepts and basic knowledge necessary to perform statistical methodology, suitable to the purpose of the analysis. In the seminar, students will carry-out data handling from social research data, analyzing and interpreting the results.

社会科学分野における定量（計量）的研究のなかで用いられる基礎的な多変量解析法を理解し、実際に統計ソフトウェアを用いたデータ分析と分析結果をまとめる一連の過程を自ら行えるようになる。

授業は、担当者の講義による説明と統計ソフトウェアSPSSを用いた演習の2つのパートから成る。講義では、分析目的に応じた適切な統計手法を実行するために必要な統計概念や基本的知識について解説する。演習では、講義による解説をもとに、受講者が実際に社会調査データを用いてデータハンドリングを行い、分析結果の解釈を行う。
This class consists of two parts - the lecture and seminars using statistical software SPSS. In the lecture, we will explain the statistical concepts and basic knowledge necessary to perform statistical methodology, suitable to the purpose of the analysis. In the seminar, students will carry-out data handling from social research data, analyzing and interpreting the results.
