【Course Objectives】

Conducting quantitative social research on contemporary themes related to people's lives such as community, social welfare, family, school and work. By experiencing a series of processes such as setting of research topics and hypothesis, producing questionnaires, sampling, distribution and collection of questionnaires, data input and management, statistical analysis using statistical software, and preparation of reports, students will be able to plan, conduct and analyze quantitative social surveys.

【Course Contents】

Sessions 1 to 7: Survey design (survey topic, survey target, setting of hypothesis, previous studies, and learning of social survey methods).
Sessions 8 to 12: Preparation of questionnaire (question item and question wording, questionnaire production, and pre-surveys).
Sessions 13 to 19: Distribution and collection of questionnaires, data entry and data management.
Sessions 20 to 24: Data analysis (basic aggregation and multivariate analysis).
Sessions 25 to 28: Report preparation.
