A knowledge of sports medicine is essential for high quality sports instruction. To that end, students learn basic knowledge on sports ailments and injuries.
A brief overview is given of the medicines needed to understand sports injuries, disorders and ailments. Along with general knowledge of health matters, lectures cover areas such as diagnosis and assessment of severity, emergency treatment, treatment policies and methods of prevention in relation to internal ailments and orthopedic sports disorders. In addition, various topics related to sports medicine are introduced.

健康運動指導士の資格科目であり、資格試験に準じた専門性の高い授業内容となる。<br>全授業回のうち3回以内でオンラインもしくはオンデマンド授業実施の予定（実施回については、別途指示する）
質の高いスポーツ指導を行うためには，スポーツ医学の知識を持つことが必要不可欠である．そのために基本的なスポーツ外傷・障害の知識を理解する．

スポーツ外傷・障害・疾患を理解する上で必要な医学を簡単に紹介する．健康に対する総論的な知識習得と共に、内科的・整形外科的スポーツ障害について，診断や重症度の評価，救急処置，治療方針，予防など講義する．また，スポーツ医学に関して，いくつかのトピックスを紹介する．
