The course will enhance students' understanding of fundamental theories and methods of geography, the findings of previous research, etc. through research presentations and general discussions by participants. In addition, students will learn logical and technical methods related to the writing of research papers.
Through research presentations and general discussions by participants in line with their own interests and awareness of issues, the course aims to improve students' capabilities for fieldwork-based geographical research and for writing research papers. Due to the nature of the subject, students are recommended to take the course together with Seminar in Geography 1A.

地理学の基礎的な理論や方法，先行研究の成果などについて，参加者の具体的な研究発表や全体討論を通じて理解力を高める。また，論文作成に関わる論理的・技術的手法を習得する。
The course will enhance students' understanding of fundamental theories and methods of geography, the findings of previous research, etc. through research presentations and general discussions by participants. In addition, students will learn logical and technical methods related to the writing of research papers.
各自の興味・関心や問題意識に即した研究発表と参加者による全体討論を通じて，フィールドワークに立脚した地理学的研究能力や，論文執筆能力の向上を図る。なお，科目の性格上，地理学演習1Aとともに受講することが望ましい。
