Through literature readings and discussions, students come to understand the phenomenon of education from the viewpoints and methods of historical sociology.
Through reading and discussion of the literature, we will capture various aspects of "schooling" through the perspectives and methods of historical sociology.
The course will focus on the following changes in schooling behavior and responses to schools by people and societies in the process of expanding school-based education. We will read and discuss the literature selected from perspectives and methods that are particularly useful for historical sociological research on education, taking into consideration the interests of the students.

学校方式による教育が広がる過程において、人々、社会は就学行動や学校への対応を、以下に変化させてきたのかを課題として、文献を読み進めます。特に教育の歴史社会学研究にとって有益な視点や方法に関する文献を中心に、履修者の関心も考慮しながら文献を選定し講読と議論を行います。
