【Course Objectives】

Can global capitalism survive ? What policy issues does it need to cope with ?
To understand multi dimensions of globalization such as its definition, history and diversity.

【Course Contents】

21 century capitalism is now at the turning point. Global financial crisis, IT, sustainability of resource an energy will be at stake. Can we cope with crises caused by financialization, casino capitalism, and ‘mad money’ ? How do digital technologies such as industrial internet and I o T transform the structure of industry and labor ? Can we deal with population, water and food issues? Explanations will be given from the historical view with the origin of globalization to correspond to the global capitalism today.
