Students will analyze Japanese SMEs and global economy organically. Students will acquire research skills to think about various modern issues in East Asia from multiple perspectives.
In this class, students will think about activities of SMEs, models, and structures in terms of East Asian economic and social structures. It is crucial for students to conduct self-directed analyses. Competition and cooperation, growth and development – These complicated mechanisms exist among economic giants such as China-Japan, South Korea-Taiwan, and among Southeast Asian countries. These mechanisms cover industry, corporation, technology, production, organization, and labor division. Students will discuss these from bird-eye view and multiple perspectives to explore various issues and potential in Japanese SMEs. In the class, students will report, read textbooks, and participate in discussion.

日本の中小企業とグローバル経済を有機的に考察し，「東アジア」における現代的諸問題を切り口に複眼的な思考をもった研究推進能力の形成を目指す。

本授業では，中小企業の事業活動範囲・ビジネスモデル・存立構造を東アジア大の経済社会構造の中でとらえ，主体的な姿勢で考察することが肝要である。経済大国の中国・日本，韓国・台湾，東南アジアの間には，産業，企業，技術，生産，組織，分業といった複雑な「競争と協調」，「成長・発展」のメカニズムが存在する。これらを俯瞰的かつ複眼的に検討し，日本中小企業の諸問題と可能性を考察する。授業は受講生によるテキストの輪読と報告，それに対するディスカッションによって進められる。
