The purpose of this course is to understand management accounting systems for managers’ decision making and performance evaluation. An additional purpose is to develop the logical thinking ability of students through dealing with managerial problems and the management accounting systems to cope with those problems.It also focuses on the impact of management accounting on human behavior and psychology.
Students will read and discuss intermediate textbooks, papers, and cases of managerial accounting. Students will learn about calculation methods and theoretical knowledge behind them for management accounting theoretical frameworks, traditional methods used in performance management accounting and decision accounting, management accounting methods used to achieve strategic planning and execution to reflect on management accounting systems desirable for corporations.It also focuses on the impact of management accounting on human behavior and psychology.

経営管理者の意思決定や業績管理に有用な会計手法についての知識を習得し、適切な管理会計システムの設計・利用について自身で考えられるようになる。管理会計が人の行動や心理に与える影響にも焦点を当てる。

管理会計の中級テキストを輪読し、議論する。管理会計の理論体系、業績管理会計・意思決定会計の伝統的な手法ならびに戦略計画・実行のための管理会計手法について、計算手法とその背後にある理論的知識を習得し、企業にとって望ましい管理会計システムのあり方について考える手立てとする。管理会計が人の行動や心理に与える影響にも焦点を当てる。
