To understand and be able to critically examine the research trends on financial statement audit.
In this class, students will discuss the latest research papers (in English) to understand current audit research trends. Professor will adapt the class to students’ level of understanding. In addition to auditing, students need to have basic statistics knowledge.

財務諸表監査の研究の動向について理解し，批判的に検討できるようになること。
To understand and be able to critically examine the research trends on financial statement audit.
本授業では，現在の監査研究の動向について理解するために，最新の研究論文（英文）を批判的に検討する。受講者の理解度に応じて進めるが、Auditingだけでなく統計学の基礎的な知識も必要となる。

毎回の授業の開始時点で，受講生全員が，前回与えられた課題（主に論文内容の要約と設問への回答）を提出する必要がある。その内容に基づき，受講者同士が積極的に議論を行うことを求める。
課題は，監査に関する最新の学術論文を読み，事前に与えられた設問に回答することである。この課題を前提に毎回の議論が行われるので，授業に参加するためには課題の提出が必須となる。
