The purpose of this course is to introduce key concepts of urban sociology and to examine contemporary urban issues.
The course will discuss basic concepts of urban sociology to understand urban society and urban life. Also, this course will read articles related to contemporary urban issues.

学部での社会学の学びを前提として、大学院レベルでの都市社会学に関する基本的な視座・理論・方法についての知識を得ること。
The purpose of this course is to introduce key concepts of urban sociology and to examine contemporary urban issues.
都市社会学の基本的な視座・理論・方法について、講義および基礎的文献の講読を通して学ぶとともに、ディスカッションなどを通して、都市社会学および現代都市の問題への理解を深めていく。授業の内容については受講者の数、学習レベル、希望などを踏まえて変更することがある。
