Students will learn about the historical background that gave rise to environmental sociology and become familiar with the institutionalization of the "environment" and the theories that prompted it. The participants' research topics will also be discussed from the perspective of environmental sociology.
In this course, we will read papers that provide the historical background that has produced environmental sociology. The first half of the seminar will be a review of papers in environmental sociology.
In the second half, students will report on their paper topics and discuss them from the perspective of environmental sociology.

環境社会学を生み出した時代背景を学ぶとともに、「環境」をめぐる制度化の進展とそれを促した理論に親しむ。また、その議論を博士論文との関連づけて考察する。
Students will learn about the historical background that gave rise to environmental sociology and become familiar with the institutionalization of the "environment" and the theories that prompted it. The participants' research topics will also be discussed from the perspective of environmental sociology.
環境社会学を生み出していく時代を読む。
前半は読書マラソン的に内容を確認しながら、そこに注釈を加えていく形式となる。
受講生の課題としているテーマ報告をはさみつつ、環境関連課題に基づく文献検索を行い、環境を巡る議論を理論的におさえていく。テーマ報告においては、理論的な視座について検討・議論する。
