Students will acquire basic knowledge of media sociology and understand the breadth of its scope.
In recent years, media has developed rapidly thanks to technological progress, spreading its influence Media sociology is a highly interdisciplinary discipline. Along with the recent major transformation of the media, the field of media sociology is also expanding.
In this class, students will learn about media sociology from various perspectives through close reading of texts. Through these, students will build the foundation of the future researches.

メディア社会学の基礎的知識を習得するとともに、その射程の広がりを理解する。

メディア社会学とは，きわめて学際的な学問である。近年のメディアの大きな変容とともに，メディア社会学の扱う領域も拡大している。
本授業では，テキストの精読を通して，メディア社会学について多角的に学ぶ。このことによって，履修者は，これから行う自分の研究の基礎を築いていってほしい。
