The purpose of this class is to provide students with an understanding of the basics of social research so that they can apply them in actual research.
After learning the basic concepts of social research and the characteristics of various research methods, students will acquire methods for setting research questions, constructing hypotheses, planning and designing surveys, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, and reporting survey results. Students will also learn about research ethics. The goal is for students to be able to plan and conduct appropriate surveys, taking into account existing theories and previous research. In addition, students will learn how to design a research plan that integrates quantitative and qualitative research.

社会調査を実施する際の基本的な事項を理解し、実査に活用できるようにする。
The purpose of this class is to provide students with an understanding of the basics of social research so that they can apply them in actual research.
社会調査の基本的な考え方及び各種調査手法の特徴を学んだうえで、リサーチクエスチョンの立て方や仮説の構築、調査の企画・設計、データの収集・整理・分析、調査結果の報告に至る方法を取得する。あわせて調査倫理についても学ぶ。既存の理論や先行研究を考慮した上で適切な調査を企画・実施できるようになることを目標とする。さらに、量的調査と質的調査を統合した研究計画について学ぶ。
After learning the basic concepts of social research and the characteristics of various research methods, students will acquire methods for setting research questions, constructing hypotheses, planning and designing surveys, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, and reporting survey results.
