Specifically, the course aims to achieve: Students will understand typical theories on globalization and multicultural coexistence (immigration, multicultural coexistence, tourism, local culture, the transition to multicultural family, the context of the refugee issue, etc.),
Globalization compresses time and space, connecting diverse people living across the globe and making them neighbours. However, we are facing new problems at the same time. In this class, students will learn about globalization structure from perspective of border and ethnicity.

この授業では、グローバリゼーションとマルチカルチュラリズムに関連した代表的な理論（移民と多文化共生、観光とローカル文化、家族の多文化化、難民問題の背景など）にはどのようなものがあるかを知ることを目標としています。

グローバリゼーションは時間と空間の圧縮を通じて、もともと多様だった地球上各地に暮らす人々を一挙に「隣人」に位置づけたかに見えます。しかしそれは同時に、新たな問題を我々に突きつけることになりました。そのグローバリゼーションの構造について、この授業では、境界域とエスニシティの側面から学んでいきます。
