Understanding the notion of embeddedness as a basic perspective on economic phenomena, and sociologically recognizing the various problems behind the economic phenomena that are occurring today through the notion of embeddedness.
This course is an introduction to sustainability studies. We will outline the viewpoints and methods of sociologically thinking about economic phenomena, based on the trend of "new economic sociology" that has developed mainly in the United States since the latter half of the 1980s. Focusing on the the modern characteristics of the market mechanism, we will introduce the notion of embeddedness as a perspective of understanding economic phenomena.

経済現象を捉える基本的な視点として、「埋め込みアプローチ」の特徴を理解すること、および「埋め込みアプローチ」を通して今日起こっている経済現象の背後に存在するさまざまな問題の様相を社会学的に認識すること。

この講義では、1980年代後半以降、アメリカを中心に発展してきた「新しい経済社会学」の潮流をもとに、経済現象を社会学的に考える視点と方法について概説する。とくに市場メカニズムの現代的な特徴の解明に焦点を据えて、経済現象を読み解く視点としての「埋め込みアプローチ」の特色について紹介していく。
This course is an introduction to sustainability studies.
