This course will examine various issues surrounding sport as a social phenomenon from a sociological perspective, and investigate he theoretical and practical issues surrounding sport and modern society, as well as the future of sports.
Based on the historical background of modern sports and its social and cultural background, this course will examine the theoretical and practical issues of sports in modern society from a sociological perspective and discuss the future of sports. Students will review articles on sports in a circle, highlight the current issues of sports based on their contents and discuss the future of sports.

スポーツを社会現象として捉え、それを取り巻く様々な問題を社会学的に検討し、スポーツと現代社会をめぐる理論的・実践的課題及びこれからのスポーツのあり方を考究する。
This course will examine various issues surrounding sport as a social phenomenon from a sociological perspective, and investigate he theoretical and practical issues surrounding sport and modern society, as well as the future of sports.
近代スポーツに関する歴史的経緯とその社会的・文化的背景を踏まえて、現代社会におけるスポーツの理論的・実践的課題について社会学的に検討し、これからのスポーツのあり方について考究する。スポーツに関する論文を輪読し、それを踏まえながらスポーツの現在的課題を浮き彫りにし、これからのスポーツのあり方について全員で議論する。
Based on the historical background of modern sports and its social and cultural background, this course will examine the theoretical and practical issues of sports in modern society from a sociological perspective and discuss the future of sports.
