The objective of this course is to carefully investigate the state of the interpretive theory of the Constitution of Japan by reading various documents about contemporary problems surrounding Constitutional Law such as government organizations and human rights. While the following are merely examples, specific topics might include, for example, the theory and practice regarding the parliamentary system, a re-examination of constitutional problems in postwar history (from the security treaty Diet to the present), a Comparative Constitutional Law examination of constitutionalism, and the state of the system of symbolic monarchy.
The lectures will be carried out in a seminar format focusing on a reading of the literature with the students and students asking questions about report presentations. The specific lecture contents will be decided during the first lecture, so students should be sure to attend that lecture.

統治機構や人権論などの憲法学をめぐる現代的な諸問題について、各種の文献を講読することで、日本国憲法の解釈論のあり方を精査することを目標とする。具体的テーマとしては、あくまでも一例ではあるが、例えば、議会制度をめぐる理論と実際、戦後史における憲法問題の再検討（安保国会から現在まで）、立憲主義に関する比較憲法的検討、象徴天皇制度のあり方などが挙げられる。

受講者との文献講読や受講者による報告に対する質疑を中心に、演習形式で講義を行う。講義の具体的内容については、第1回目の講義の際に決定するので、受講者は、必ず第1回目の講義に出席すること。
