【Course Objectives】

Develop the skills necessary to analyze and interpret data in political science research.

【Course Contents】

This class is an introductory course for beginners in data analysis and statistics. It is designed for students who plan to write papers using data analysis methods, as well as those who wish to develop the ability to understand papers written by others using quantitative analysis methods.
The textbook used in this course, which can be found in the textbook field, is written in a format that enables students to learn the basic concepts of statistics and data analysis skills by reproducing academic papers with R. As a result, students will learn the methods of quantitative analysis and also have the opportunity to be exposed to previous research in various fields of social science.
Each chapter of the textbook will be covered over two weeks. In the first week, the instructor will give a lecture on the topics of our textbook. The second week will be used for discussion and exercise problems.
