【Course Contents】

Data is being continuously generated in large quantities to the point that the term “big data” is gradually permeating the vocabulary of general society. As a result of this, general societal interest in statistics has risen, and the need for people who can make decisions after interpreting data has increased. Nevertheless, there is still a distinct shortage of individuals capable practically applying data. In order to make a decision based on data, it is necessary to learn how to acquire data appropriately according to it’s purpose and utilize it using statistical knowledge. The outline of Statistics is explained over 14 classes in the order of descriptive statistics to inferential statistics. First, the basic of descriptive statistics such as summarization of 1 variable data and summarization of 2 variable data, etc., is solidified, and then, the relationship between random variables and population and sample as a basis of inferential statistics is introduced, and the important concept of sample distribution is understood. After that, we will advance further so that the basis of inferential statistics of estimation and hypothesis testing can be acquired.
