From among the theological attempts in modern Japan, we will study “theology of nothingness” and, while considering its stance and reality, we will think about the direction and potential of theology in the future.
We plan to cover the “theology of nothingness”, a theological attempt in modern Japan, and read and comprehend the details of the texts. I would also like to look at the “theology of place”. Further, we will flexibility adapt the topics and texts to the research subjects, interests, and social situations of participants.
The course will be conducted by having one assigned student give a presentation based on the text each time. Following this, we will study and discuss this with all participants.

現代日本における神学の試みから、「無の神学」をとりあげ、その構えと内実を検討するとともに、今後の神学の方向性と可能性を考える。
From among the theological attempts in modern Japan, we will study “theology of nothingness” and, while considering its stance and reality, we will think about the direction and potential of theology in the future.
現代日本における神学的試みのひとつである「無の神学」をとりあげ、詳細にテキストを読み解きながら検討する予定。親和性が高い「場の神学」にも目くばりしたい。尚、テーマ、テキストとも、参加者の研究主題や関心、また社会状況等に応じて、柔軟に対応する。
進め方としては、毎回一名の担当者がテキストに基づく発表を行い、その後参加者全員で討議と考究を行う。
We plan to cover the “theology of nothingness”, a theological attempt in modern Japan, and read and comprehend the details of the texts. I would also like to look at the “theology of place”.
