To learn the way in which studies on Deuteronomistic History are conducted through critical reading of the Book of Kings in Hebrew.
We critically read the First Book of Kings (from Chapter 16) in Hebrew from the viewpoints of redaction history and tradition history. Class consists of participants' well-prepared presentations on the text and discussions on the presentations. Participants are expected to read biblical Hebrew as well as bible commentaries and scholarly works in English and German.

列王記の記述を原語で批判的に読みながら、申命記史研究の実際について学ぶ。
To learn the way in which studies on Deuteronomistic History are conducted through critical reading of the Book of Kings in Hebrew.
列王記上16章以降のヘブライ語テキストを、特に編集史・伝承史的観点から批判的に読み進める。授業は受講者の予習に基づく発表とそれについての全員による議論とで構成される。ヘブライ語で聖書を読めること、英・独語の注解書や学術書・論文を読めることが受講のための必要条件である。
