The goal of this course is to identify master’s thesis topics and engage in-depth with the topic of this course by holding multiple student research presentations and debates during each session.
This class will involve student presentations and discussion involving participation of multiple faculty members. From the 2nd to 7th sessions, students will do research presentations and each presenter will receive comments from multiple faculty members. Students will clarify the content of their master’s thesis research topic by reviewing the answers to students’ questions. In the 8th to 13th sessions, students will review the research method and examine issues. In the 14th final session, students will show master's thesis research outline and discuss issues and problems regarding research plans and obtain advice from professors.

本授業は、毎回複数人の学生による研究発表・議論を積み重ねることで、修士論文のテーマ設定、内容の深化を図ることを目的とする。
The goal of this course is to identify master’s thesis topics and engage in-depth with the topic of this course by holding multiple student research presentations and debates during each session.
本授業では、複数の教員が参加する指導体制のもとで学生による発表を行い、議論を重ねる。第２回から第７回にかけて、毎回数人の発表者が研究発表を行い、参加教員からの質問やコメントを得たうえで、学生が応答を繰り返すことで、修論テーマと内容を明確化し修論計画を進めていく。第８回から第１３回において具体的な研究・調査手法を示し課題や問題点を検討し、期待される研究成果について議論する。最終回である第１４回においては、修論構想報告会を開催し、研究計画についての課題と問題点を検討し、助言を得る。

事前の発表準備、事後の振り返りに時間を多大な時間と労力を要する。まず、本授業開始までに大まかなテーマ設定とそのための先行研究の読み込み、整理を各自行うこと。また、第２回から第９回にかけて各自発表準備、第１１回以降は、各発表のフィードバックとして、発表で達成できたこと、今後の課題の整理を行うこと。
