【Course Objectives】

Understand the fundamental ethics and therapy structure applied by clinical psychologists. Then while experiencing the actual therapy environment at the on-campus training facility, they will participate in case studies, observe client interviews, and acquire the basic knowledge and attitude required of a therapist.

【Course Contents】

Lectures will examine the history and function of certified clinical psychologists. Students will learn about the basic duties of certified clinical psychologists, in particular, ① their roles, ② their ethical and legal obligations, ③ maintaining the safety of clients in their care, ④ appropriate handling of information, ⑤ specific duties in healthcare, welfare, education, and other fields, and ⑥ cooperation among multiple professions and within communities.
Students will complete the following at the on-campus training facility: 10 hours of practical training in telephone reception; 6 hours observing client interviews and attending briefings and debriefings; 9 hours participating in case studies.
