【Course Objectives】

Students will gain sufficient understanding of the purpose, meaning, and methods of psychological assessments, the ethics surrounding them, and the further development of the above to function as a certified public psychologist or clinical psychologist. They will also learn to conduct assessments smoothly and provide appropriate feedback, and how to link them with the psychological support provided to clients.

【Course Contents】

Seminar in Personality Assessment 1 contains material that is required for certification as a clinical psychologist or certified public psychologist. Seminar in Personality Assessment 1 and 2 both focus on the relationships between clinical psychological assessments and client interviews. Additionally, Seminar in Personality Assessment 1 will furnish an understanding of the meaning, theory, and methods of psychological assessments that are essential to healthcare, welfare (of children, the handicapped, and the elderly), education, crime and judicial affairs, and industry and labor-related issues. Lectures and practical training regarding the application of assessments to psychological counseling, advice, and guidance within the above areas will be provided. Students will observe psychological assessments and their application to interviews and psychological examinations, consider their implementation, analyze and interpret results, and examine records and reports.
