The goal of this course is to understand the mechanism of linguistic expression and body expression in Japanese traditional performing arts.
Noh and Bunraku's works are focused one by one. For each topic, this course proceeds in the following order. (1) analysis of the linguistic expression of the script, (2) analysis of the body expression through video images, and (3) if possible, actually watching the work in the theater. The work to be dealt with in class is decided in consultation with the participants as we take into account the availability of videos and the performance schedule at this time.

日本の伝統芸能における言語表現と身体表現の仕組みを理解する。
The goal of this course is to understand the mechanism of linguistic expression and body expression in Japanese traditional performing arts.
能と文楽の作品を一つずつ取り上げる。それぞれにつき、次のような順番で授業を進める。（１）台本の言語表現の分析、（２）ビデオ映像を通じた身体表現の分析、（３）可能な場合は劇場で作品を鑑賞。授業で扱う作品は、参加者と相談しつつ、この時期の上演作品や映像の入手可能性を考慮して決める。
