(1) To understand the diversity of the concept of "identity" in this modern society, and to consider itself as the frame of reference at the meta level. (2) Regarding "identity", reading texts on various fields and degrees of difficulty, referring to thoughts and opinions of the lecturer and other students, to examine the existing "own thoughts", and to update them to new "own thoughts" and to explain it persuasively.
We all have some kind of "identity". It may be "being the same" based on so-called race, ethnicity, nationality or language. Or it could be culture, tradition, gender, sexuality, place of residence, organization, class, tastes, or religion. Such diverse identities and identifications are always accompanied by alterity and differentiation. In this lecture, we will consider and discuss philosophically the concept of "identity", paying attention to its possibilities, dangers, safeties, vulnerabilities, resilience, flexibilities, stubbornness, etc..

（１）現代社会における「アイデンティティ」という概念の多様性を理解し、その準拠枠そのものを考察すること。（２）「アイデンティティ」に関して、多様な分野と難易度の文献を読み、講師ならびに他の受講生の思考を受けとめ、既存の「自らの考え」を吟味し、新しい「自らの考え」へと更新し、説得力をもって表現できるようになること。

私たちは、必ず何らかの「アイデンティティ（identity）」を有している。それは、いわゆる人種や民族、国籍や使用言語に基づく「同じであること」かもしれない。あるいは、文化・伝統・ジェンダー・セクシャリティ・居住地域・所属組織・階級・趣味嗜好・宗教行為かもしれない。そうした多様な同一性や同一化（identification）には、必ず「異なっていること（alterity）」や「差異化（differentiation）」が伴われている。それら、社会学・心理学・文学など複数の分野で扱われる「アイデンティティ」という概念の可能性・危険性・安全性（安心性）・脆弱性・強靭性・柔軟性・頑迷性などを多面的に“哲学”として考察し対話する講義としたい。
