【Course Objectives】

Organize the differences between social design and sociology and understand the relationship between the two. After that, we will examine various cases in which both social design and sociological viewpoints can be utilized. Ultimately, each student will aim to make creative and feasible proposals for social issues.

【Course Contents】

This class consists of two types: lectures by the instructor and presentations by the students (circular reading and case study). First, the characteristics and relevance of the perspectives of social design and sociology are explained. These explanations will be given based on classical and contemporary examples. Next, we read the text in turn and discuss the topics each time. In this way, we will examine the ideas for solving social problems and the difficulties (dilemmas) that arise from them. Ultimately, each student designs an approach to overcome these dilemmas.
