In this course, participating students will analyze government/administration's role to formulate sustainable society and study good governance for multistakeholder cooperation and participation which is required in building sustainable society. By these studies, students will obtain clues for their acition and research..
SDGs are often called "common language". Building sustainable society requires various stakeholders participation, however, government and administration are regarded as major players among them. In this course, participants study policy making and implementation process, and collaborations between government and various stakeholders.on mainly environmental issues. Participants will also identify the importance of multi stakeholder participation and "environmental democracy" such as access to information, public participation and access to justice, which are essential for sustainable society.
The themes and their order may change according to the interests and questions of the course participants.

本授業では、持続可能な社会づくりに向け政府・行政が果たす役割を多面的に検討、分析することにより、持続可能な社会づくりに当たって求められる様々な関係者との連携、参画を実現するガバナンスのあり方を探り、実践や研究への手がかりを得ることを目標とする。

SDGsは共通言語と言われるように、持続可能な社会づくりでは、さまざまな関係者が連携しながら取り組むことが重要であるが、その中でも政府・行政が果たす役割は大きい。本授業では環境問題の取組を中心に、政策立案/実施のありかた、政府と様々な関係者との関わり方などを検討する。持続可能な社会づくりに不可欠なマルチステークホルダーでの取組や、情報公開、意思決定参加、司法アクセスを内容とする環境民主主義の意義を探ることとする。
なお、授業で扱うテーマ、その扱う順序は受講生の関心事など踏まえて変更することがあり得る。

持続可能性や環境問題に関する政府や行政の動きを常日頃から意識し、課題と思われる事例、興味を持った事例については背景、関係者の反応/動きなどを観察していくこと。
受講生には、1回程度、授業内容に合わせ発表してもらうことを予定している。発表については、受講生の状況・関心を踏まえて、授業の中で示す予定。
