21世紀社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
The work of the nonprofit and civic sectors is now essential to the realization of a better society. In this course, the aim is that students will understand the systems (legal system, taxation system, etc.) related to specified nonprofit corporations (NPO corporation) in particular among not-for-profit organizations and will deepen their understanding to the level where they could actually operate or support a nonprofit corporation. Public interest corporations are also overviewed.
First, students will understand the details of the systems (laws, taxes). Then, we will give an overview of the not-for-profit and civic sectors in Japan and deepen students' understanding of the significance and issues of not-for-profit corporations being active in society. Students will learn the creative efforts of various not-for-profit corporations and understand the issues in the field. We will invite guest instructors who are active in the not-for-profit sector as appropriate, and provide opportunities to gain on-the-ground insights and updated information.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
いまや、よりよい社会の実現に、非営利・市民セクターの働きは不可欠である。本演習では、非営利法人のなかで、特に特定非営利活動法人（NPO法人）にかかわる制度（法制、税制等）を把握し、実際に自ら非営利法人を運用したり、支援したりできるレベルまで理解を深めることを目標とする。あわせて、公益法人制度についても概観する。

まずは、制度（法律、税制）の詳細を把握する。その上で、日本における非営利・市民セクターの概要を俯瞰し、社会において非営利法人が活躍することの意義と諸課題について理解を深める。多様な非営利法人の創造的な取り組みを学ぶとともに、現場の課題を理解する。非営利セクターで活躍するゲスト講師を適宜招き、現場の知見と最新情報を得る機会も提供する。
