SDGs are already less than a half way to go. Unfortunately achieving goals less feasible due to COVID-19, and international conflicts and food shortage due to climate crisis.t. However, our society has started to transform as Kishida Cabinet is seeking to develop New Capitalism Not just peoples mind but the purpose of the corporation and the return investors are seeking are also transforning。Besides financial return, solving social issues will be the purpose of the business, which are indicated by CSR, SDGs management, ESG investment and ESG finance. In this course we will see why this transformation to stakeholder capitalism has happened and what are the social issues to be solved and will seek to learn about the new role of business and finance as promoters of sustainable society.
Stakeholder capitalism, which is regarded as new and sustainable capitalism, will require business to solve social issues such as climate change, as their purpose of corporate activities. In order to understand such transformation, we must first ask what is the meaning of sustainability represented by SDGs? In this course we will go over the major environmental and social issues, and study about the role of the international initiatives such as SDGs and Paris Agreement, both of which are intended to transform our society. We will also study the missions and roles of business sector and also of finance to make the society more sustainable.

2015年に成立したSDGｓは2030年までのWrap pointを超えた。成立当初の盛り上がりとは裏腹に残念ながら、コロナ禍、ウクライナ危機、異常気象などによる食料価格の高騰、などもあり、ゴール達成は遠のいている。しかし、経済社会の在り方、ビジネス界金融界の意識の転換の流れは変わらない。岸田内閣でも「新しい資本主義」を標ぼうしているが、今までの資本主義の在り方が根本的に転換しはじめているのである。人々の意識もそうであるが、資本主義の根幹である、企業の目的、投資家の求める成果が変わりつつある。財務価値に加えて社会課題解決を企業の目的と考える経営者・投資家が増えている。これらはCSRやSDGｓ経営、ＥＳＧ投資、ＥＳＧ金融といわれる。本講義では、新たな資本主義への転換がなぜ生まれたのか、解決すべき社会課題とはなにか？ 新たな企業経営と金融の在り方はどうなるのか。考察していく。

新たな資本主義と期待されるステークホルダー資本主義においては、気候変動などの社会課題解決が企業の目的となる。本講座では、そもそもSDGｓのS（サステナビリティ＝持続可能性）の考え方を理解し環境の持続可能性、社会の持続可能性について主要な課題について概観する。そして、現在のグローバル社会を持続可能に転換させるシステム ＳＤＧｓとパリ協定などの国際的なイニシサチブの目的と進捗について理解を深める。それを受けて、ビジネスの在り方（CSR・ステークホルダー資本主義）と金融（ESG金融）の取り組みについて様々な観点から考察する。

研究科の学事・行事（報告会、進学相談会等）と授業時間が重複した場合、その日の授業についてはオンデマンド講義となる。
本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
