【Course Objectives】

While Covid19 is damaging our society, extreme weathers caused by climate change continues to harm tour society, which is caused by human activities. A third of the forest was lost since humans began agriculture. Our mass consumption is damaging the planet. Covid19 also harmed the lives of the low income people such as immigrant workers widening the income gap. Now that not only government and business but consumers must change our lifestyle to more sustainable way

【Course Contents】

Being business persons, there are few chance to read reports and proposals directly. Usually, summarized documents by consultants will be enough for business use. But summarized documents are biased and reading full documents may have different messages and giving different messages/ In this course , we take time to read some of the epoch making reports in sustainability arena and discuss over the contents of these documents, and will acquire better knowledge and perspectives of each sustainability issues. This course is related to VM320, so it is preferable to take both course, since VM320 will cover the theoretic part and this course offers time to read reports related to the topic covered in VM320. The candidates of the reports and sometimes interesting articles are those related to SDGs, environmental issues, and social issues. The list is the candidate of reports to cover, since updated reports are more preferable.
