【Course Objectives】

Students will be prepared to work on their MA thesis projects by acquiring a broad knowledge of basic theories and research methodologies in Translation and Interpreting Studies.

【Course Contents】

Students will learn basic theories and research methods in Translation and Interpreting Studies and review major prior works on topics relevant to student thesis projects. For translation theses, students will engage in preliminary discussions on the selection of materials, translation strategies, and methods of theoretical reflections. Also discussed is the relations between the theory and practice of translation and interpreting.
