【Course Objectives】

Students should be able to consider major topics in research of film and screen culture, theoretical frameworks, methods of analysis, and recent research trends, and link these areas to their own research.

【Course Contents】

We will work to understand film and screen culture as a review of multicultural society, and based on key examples of existing research, provide an overview from a gender studies perspective, of works that deal with social themes, such as the cultural memory of war and colonial occupation, immigration and globalization, nationalism and ethnicity, etc.
