To help students prepare for the writing of their master's thesis, this course aims to provide them with the requisite foundational knowledge and the skills needed to write and structure an academic paper. In addition, this course will aid the clarification of their research themes and methodologies. Further, students will also learn the methods of reading and analyzing research materials and relevant literature.
Through lectures and tutorials, students will learn to (a) critically evaluate previous literature, (b) formulate research questions, (c) collect data, and (d) publish findings in the form of academic papers. Students will also be required to present and to discuss their ongoing research projects.

修士論文作成に向けて、研究テーマ、研究方法の明確化を図るとともに、資料の探し方、解釈の仕方、論文執筆の具体的な方法等、論文作成に必要な基礎知識と能力を身につけ、論文執筆を実践する。

講義・演習および個別指導を通して、先行研究を批判的に考察した上で研究テーマを設定し、データを収集、研究成果を論文として発表する能力を養う。また、受講生各自の研究の進捗状況に関する発表や討議も行う。
