The objective of these lessons is for students to learn the necessary knowledge and skills to complete their master’s dissertations. Specifically, students will be able to deepen their understanding of the topics they have selected while improving their knowledge of research design and methods.
The content will focus on teaching students about the required literature for pursuing their research topics and the survey or experiment designs needed to conduct their research. Each lesson will focus on having students report their current research progress. The lessons will also explain the survey and experiment methods used in language and language-teaching research through concrete examples and by outlining the fundamentals of statistical analyses.

本授業の目標は、受講者が各自の修士論文を完成させるために必要な知識やスキルを身につけることである。具体的には、受講者が各自設定したテーマについて理解を深め、研究デザイン、研究方法についての知見を深めることができる。

受講者が設定した研究テーマを遂行するために必要な文献講読、研究を進めるための調査や実験のデザインに対する指導を中心に行う。毎回の授業は、受講者がそれまで進めた研究報告を軸として行う。また、言語教育研究、言語研究に利用される調査や実験方法について具体例を示しながら説明するとともに、統計を使った分析方法の基礎も概観する。
The content will focus on teaching students about the required literature for pursuing their research topics and the survey or experiment designs needed to conduct their research.
