In this seminar students will come to grasp current state of research on the fields of art and visual studies, learn how to read critically and use effectively findings and data when writing their master's thesis.
Guidance and advices will be given on the following: the assessment of the state of research, ways in which necessary sources and documents should be collected and evaluated, methods to be employed or writing skills of theses, based on the research plan of each student.

美術、アートを中心とする視覚的な表現（物）に関する研究動向を理解し、種々の資料を批判的に読み、適切に修士論文に使用する方法を学び、論文の完成をめざす。
In this seminar students will come to grasp current state of research on the fields of art and visual studies, learn how to read critically and use effectively findings and data when writing their master's thesis.
受講生の研究計画を沿って、研究動向の把握、資料の収集と批判、適切な研究手法の援用、論文の執筆法などを指導する。
